Full roof replacements, done properly and left tidy. Every roof includes the strip, membrane, batten, tile, ridge and lead work as standard.

New roofs in Bristol

When a repair is not enough.

Most Bristol roofs last decades before they need replacing. When they do, it usually shows in a few ways. Multiple slipped or broken tiles. Sagging between rafters. Damp patches in the loft. Repeated leaks in different places. If you’re patching the same roof year after year, a full re-roof often works out cheaper in the long run.

We install new tiled and slate roofs on terraces, semis, detached homes and commercial buildings across Bristol. Every job is priced up front and includes everything, so there are no extras added on later.

What we install

New roofs across the city.

From a small terrace re-roof to a commercial property, we handle the full job.

Terrace and semi re-roofs

The most common Bristol job. Full strip, new membrane, batten and tile, with lead flashing and gutter checks.

Detached home roofs

Larger, often with hipped and valley detail. Set out and finished by our own team.

Commercial properties

Shops, offices and industrial buildings. Pitched or flat, we work around your opening hours where we can.

What's included as standard.

One clear quote, no surprises. This is what a standard re-roof covers.

  • Strip and safe removal of old tiles and felt.
  • Roofshield breather membrane, or equivalent.
  • New treated battens.
  • New tiles, or reused where sound and matching.
  • Ridge and verge finished dry, not mortared.
  • Lead flashing replaced where needed.
  • Gutters cleaned and checked.
  • Scaffolding organised and included in the quote.

Signs you might need a new roof.

A repair fixes the symptom. If any of these ring true, the underlying roof is probably at the end of its life.

  • Multiple slipped or broken tiles across the whole roof.
  • Sagging between rafters visible from the ground.
  • Damp patches or daylight visible in the loft.
  • Repeated leaks appearing in different places.
  • Roof is over 40 years old and never been renewed.
  • Battens or timbers showing rot or borer damage.
FAQ

New roof questions, answered.

How do I know if I need a new roof rather than a repair?
It usually comes down to how often you're calling someone out. If you've had the same roof patched two or three times in recent years, or if the leaks are appearing in different places, the underlying membrane or timbers are probably at the end of their life. We can come out for a look and give you an honest answer either way.
How long does a full re-roof take?
A typical Bristol terrace is usually five to ten working days, weather permitting. Larger homes or commercial jobs take longer. You'll have a clear timeline in the quote before we start.
Can you upgrade my loft insulation at the same time?
Yes. A re-roof is the ideal moment to add or upgrade insulation, especially if you want a warm roof for a converted or future-convertible loft.
Can you leave provision for solar panels?
Yes. If you know you want to add solar in future, we can leave the roof structurally ready and note it on the paperwork.
Do you offer a guarantee on a new roof?
Yes. As Confederation of Roofing Contractors members (No. 8523), we can offer a 10-year Insurance-Backed Guarantee on all new work. It covers the full contract value and stays valid even in the unlikely event we're no longer trading, and it transfers if you sell the house.
What kind of disruption can I expect?
Scaffolding goes up first, then the roof comes off in sections. The house stays weathertight throughout. Most of the noise is external, but there's some vibration inside for the first day or two. We keep the site tidy at the end of every day.

These guys replaced our roof that was leaking & falling in on itself in a Victorian terrace in central Bristol. Not an easy job as our house is very skewed (no 90 degree angles whatsoever) but they did a brilliant job. We ended up going with a full dormer, they took down our chimney breast so we had more room & built/sealed the flat roof section with a 25 year guarantee. They gave us some advice on what to do with the front bay as that was shot too.Ollie was incredibly helpful & always pleasant/in a good mood on the job. Really enjoyed having a cup of tea with him & the guys he worked with over the duration of the loft conversion.Sent him over to all the neighbours who had roofing jobs to be done, & no one had a bad word to say. Can't recommend enough, 10/10 service.

The house feels completely transformed.Thank you Albion Roofing

Great guys. Olly and team covered our coping stones with fibreglass and re-leaded mine and my neigbours roofs 3 years ago. Finally the plasterers came to fix the water damage and commented that it was dry as a bone. They also recently insulated and re-felted my roof, and fitted a new Velux on a previous occasion, too. Lovely roofers, very efficient. Recommended.
