An emergency roof job is different from a planned repair. Water is already coming through the ceiling. Tiles are hanging off. A tree branch has landed on the slates. The priority is to make the house safe and weathertight, not to have a leisurely quote conversation.

What we do when we get to you.
Two visits: first to make it safe, second to fix it permanently.
- Assess the damage safely from the ground and, if needed, from the roof.
- Make the roof watertight with tarpaulin or temporary battens.
- Photograph and document the damage for your insurer.
- Talk you through what needs doing to permanently repair it.
- Book the permanent repair as soon as materials and scaffold can be arranged.
- Written quote for the permanent fix, so nothing surprises you.
What to do while you're waiting.
A few things to do (and not do) that make a real difference.
- Put buckets or towels under active drips inside.
- Move furniture, electronics and belongings out of the affected room.
- Turn off electrics in the affected area if water is close to fittings.
- Photograph the damage inside and out for your insurer.
- Don't climb up on the roof yourself. It's wet, unstable, and it's what we're insured to do.
- Call your insurer once things are stable. We can talk them through what happened.

Will you do a temporary fix or a full repair on the day?
Almost always temporary first, permanent second. Making the house watertight is quick. A proper permanent repair usually needs matching materials and scaffold, both of which take a bit of arranging. You get quoted for the permanent job before we book it.
Can you provide documentation for my insurance claim?
Yes. Photos of the damage, photos of the temporary and permanent repairs, and a written summary of the cause and the work done, all provided as standard on emergency call-outs.
Is there a call-out fee?
Discussed on the call. It depends on distance, timing, and what needs doing. Nothing is charged without you agreeing first.
Do you offer a guarantee on the permanent repair?
Yes. Permanent repair work carries a workmanship guarantee. New roof-level work qualifies for the CORC 10-year Insurance-Backed Guarantee.
