Full re-roof and solar install, Upper Cheltenham Place.
A Victorian terrace in Montpelier stripped back to timber, reroofed in terracotta pantiles with new lead work throughout, and finished with a full solar PV array on the south-facing elevation.
A tired Victorian roof, due a long-term fix.
The existing roof had reached end of life. Slipping tiles, failed flashings around the chimney stacks, visible damp staining on the inside of the dormers. The owner wanted a full renewal that would last decades and support a solar install either immediately or later.
Because reroofing was happening anyway, we recommended fitting solar at the same time. Doing both in one scaffold visit saves significant cost and lets us integrate the panel mounts into the new roof structure properly rather than retrofitting them.

What the job included.
- Full strip of existing tiles and underlay
- Timber batten and breathable membrane replacement
- New terracotta pantiles across the full main roof
- New lead flashings at both chimney stacks
- Lead valleys and parapet work renewed
- Rail-mounted MCS-certified solar PV array, panels fixed into rafters
- DNO notification and Smart Export Guarantee paperwork
- Full project managed under one scaffold visit
